About Us
The Texas City Makos team is a part of the city of Texas City's Aquatics program. The Makos swim and compete the Clear Creek Swim League.
The summer season usually kicks off at the end of April or beginning of May, with practices scheduled throughout the month of May. The first swim meet is usually held the Saturday after area schools release for summer break.
The Texas City Makos are coached by veteran swim coach, Nathan Masi, who also coaches swim at our local high school.
The Texas City Aquatics program is supervised by Makos alumni, Marcell Favalora
Why Makos
The Texas City Makos likes to put the emphasis on teaching kids to appreciate and enjoy competitive swimming. Swimmers' skills develop at different paces and the Texas City Makos is a great program to meet young swimmers where they are.
Our goals for the Texas City Makos team are in the following order:
