Map & Parking
The Texas City Natatorium is located in Texas City's 55 Acre Nessler Park which boasts our Natatorium, a fitness center, walking trails, a family waterpark, a community center, and more including plenty of parking spaces!
The best parking lot is going to be located along 5th Avenue North
- When traveling east along 9th Avenue/Palmer Highway/1765, turn right on 21st Street. (There's a Jack-in-the-Box on the SW Corner of the intersection)
- Travel south down 21st Street until you get to 5th Avenue.
- The Nessler Center is on the NE corner of the intersection, and a large parking lot to the east of the community center. This is the lot you will park in.
Natatorium Pool Details and Rules
- 8 Lanes
- Lane Length - 25 yards
- Restrooms for Adult Use in the Lobby
- Restrooms for Swimmers right by the pool deck
- Unused lanes of the pool are off-limits
- No pets (trained service animals welcome)
- There will be trashcans located in the spectator area and in the lobby. Please dispose of all trash accordingly.

Concessions will be sold by the Makos in the lobby
- Cash & Venmo Accepted
- The pool deck is exclusively for officials, coaches, swimmers and volunteers. If you are not actively working in a volunteer role or are not a coach, please stay in the spectator area.
- No photos may be taken from behind the diving block.
- No running or horseplay on the pool deck
- Be respectful of the space you are in and the belongings of other swimmers and spectators.
Spectator Area
Review the information below for spectating the swim meet:
- The Texas City Natatorium is an indoor, air conditioned pool equipped with water fountains and restrooms.
- The spectator area of the pool includes several sets of backless bleachers in an elevated viewing area to provide the best view during meets.
- Spectators are welcome to stay indoors in the bleachers for the duration of the meet
- Visitors are welcome to setup tents in the grassy area outside of the Natatorium if they wish.
- If setting up outdoors, please clean up your area including all trash to maintain our beautiful park
- If you have attended a meet at the Texas City Natatorium in the past, we will not be using the gym as a holding area.
Meet Timeline
All swimmers should check-in with their team's coach(es) prior to warm up
- 7:00am - Texas City Makos Warm Up
- 7:20am - Visiting Team Warm Up
- 7:30am - All scratches due to clerk of course
- Clerk will be located on the far end of the spectator area closest to the diving block.
- 7:30am - Officials Meeting
- 7:40am - Timers Meeting
- 7:50am - Events 1-10 to the Ready Area
- 7:55am - National Anthem
- 8:00am - Meet Start
We will take a short break between events 40 and 41
Results
Results will be posted in the lobby near the Concession Stand
Visiting Team Volunteer Requirements
Visiting Team Will Provide:
- (1) ONE Team Rep
- (2) TWO Stroke/Turn Refs Per Shift (total of 4; if less, officials may need to work the entire event)
- (1) ONE Assistant Clerk of Course
- (2) TWO Assistant Scorers per shift
- (2) TWO Ready-Area Assistants per shift (total of 4)
- (1) ONE Head Timer per shift (total of 2)
- (1) ONE Runner per shift (total of 2)
- (8) EIGHT Timers Per Shift (Total of 16)
- (1) ONE Post-Meet Scorer
Check-In & Shifts
- Each team should check-in with THEIR OWN volunteer coordinator for assignments
- Second shift volunteers should be prepared to report to their assignments just PRIOR to Event 41.
Concessions
A concession stand will be available at our meets. The concession stand will be located in the lobby of the Natatorium near the adult restrooms. The concession stand accepts cash and Venmo (@TCMAKOS)
For meets on June 13th & June 20th, we will proudly be serving Scooters Coffee.
